A lot to see
In every corner of La Rioja you can find a large number of monasteries that were once important stops on the Camino de Santiago and that today are very popular places with pilgrims and travelers from all over the world.
The Museum of La Rioja is located in an 18th century baroque building in the old town of Logroño, the commercial center of the region. Here you can travel through the history of La Rioja with stone carvings from the 5th century and see Roman statues, medieval altarpieces and 19th century paintings. In the old town you can also visit the Cathedral of Santa María de la Redonda, a gothic church decorated with late baroque Spanish towers from the 18th century. Logroño comes to life at the end of September with the San Mateo Festival, when the grape harvest is celebrated.
If there is one thing that undoubtedly characterizes La Rioja, it is its wines. Most of the vineyards are grouped along the banks of the Ebro River and the medieval city of Haro acts as the capital of the wine region. The alleys of the old town are full of bars, wine shops and wine cellars, where you can taste local wines and meet their producers.
Thousands of places to discover, corners that only a few people know about and unique experiences in a region that is small in size but enormous in resources.
Let an Official Guide show you La Rioja like you could never have imagined.
